A bike for Rosa — and for everyone with achondroplasia.
When Rosa walked into our workshop with her parents, her wish was crystal clear:
A bike just like her friends'. Same color. Same shape. A basket on the front.
No exceptions, no “special solution.” Just a cool kids’ bike — in her size.
Rosa has achondroplasia — a form of dwarfism that results in different body proportions, especially shorter arms and legs. And that makes finding a suitable bike very difficult.
Because most searches end with a kind of balance bike with short crank arms.
Which is fine — if that’s what you want.
But what if you simply want to blend in with your classmates, not stand out?
At Astonic, we believe everyone deserves a bike that truly fits.
That’s why we build fully custom-made bicycles for people with achondroplasia — with complete attention to proportions, seating position, and style.
And in Rosa’s case?
It became one of the smallest bikes we’ve ever built — and one of the biggest challenges we've ever taken on.
