In the early days, 20 x 4 inch tires were nearly impossible to source, and finding matching components was a challenge. But we persevered. After four years of development, we created a prototype that met the highest standards.

Two frame sizes

Every rider deserves a bike that truly fits. That’s why the Earth comes in:

Standard frame – Seat height of 87 cm, ideal for riders from 160–185 cm
Sky High frame – Seat height of 92 cm, ideal for riders from 185 cm to well over 2 meters

With these options, the Astonic Earth is one of the few fatbikes suitable for taller riders. In fact, Astonic is the only Dutch manufacturer offering a custom fatbike specifically built for tall people.

Are fatbikes like the Astonic Earth legal on public roads?

Yes. The Astonic Earth fully complies with Dutch e-bike regulations: pedal assistance up to 25 km/h, no throttle, and a motor that meets legal specifications. This makes it a safe and legal option for everyday use on public roads.

How does the quality of an Astonic fatbike compare to others?

Many fatbikes on the market are mass-produced abroad with lower-quality components. Astonic e-bikes are handcrafted in the Netherlands using premium parts such as Bafang, Magura, and Gates. You get craftsmanship, durability, and safety – without compromise.

Which frame size do I need, and do you offer options for tall riders?

The Astonic Earth is available in two ergonomic frame sizes:

Air suspension front fork

The air suspended fork on our e-bike provides more riding comfort and extra damping. If you go off-road with your cool electric bike, you can adjust the air-suspended front fork so that more damping is created. This provides more comfort.

All aluminum frame

We have chosen to make our bikes entirely by hand from aluminum. Although this complicates the production process, it gives the fatbike extreme sturdiness. It also ensures that your cool electric bike remains free of rust. And of course, aluminum is lighter. This makes our bike more handy and it is easy to place on your bicycle carrier. Weighing in at around 23kg, it's the perfect e-bike to take with you on holiday.

Quality Shimano en Bafang components

Because only the best is good enough, we have equipped our E-bike with high-quality materials and parts. We mainly use Shimano and Bafang parts. These renowned brands are well-known in the bicycle industry and offer the quality we want for our electric bike.

Hydraulic disc brakes

Because all of our bikes have powerful electric motors, good brakes are essential. All of our E-bikes are equipped with powerful hydraulic brakes so that you can come to a stop quickly in any situation.

Wide tires for high comfort and perfect road handling

Our bicycles have tires with a width of four inches or ten cm. This provides extra damping, because the tire pressure is lower than a bicycle with normal tires. This damping power translates into an extra comfortable driving experience.
